Earth was culled together from the Emmy winning BBC documentary that got the Oprah seal of approval, Planet Earth. Released on Earth Day, I didn’t want to see a movie about plants in double speed. It is shown here, but the movie is more than that.
This movie is following the three animal groups as they cope for the ever-changing climate on this planet.
In the Arctic, the polar bear is struggling to find food when the ice is melting all around them. The humpback whale is making an epic journey from the Equator to the Antarctic for food. Lastly, there are the elephants making a trek to find a water source in sub-Saharan Africa.
Not seeing Planet Earth, this is a remarkable movie with lush landscapes, breathtaking camera shots, the orchestral patterns from cranes to schools of fish.
Judgment: A beautiful film that should be seen to be believed.
