She got this idea from a friend of hers from Filmicability, Dean Treadway. I did this list like hers by choosing the films that should have won Best Picture instead of the actual one since the year I was born.

I was born in 1980. So my list will be shorter.

– Raging Bull (Ordinary People)
– On Golden Pond (Chariots of Fire – WTF!)
– E.T. (Gandhi – 4 hour movie. Really!)
– Terms of Endearment unchanged
– A Soldier’s Story (Amadeus)
– The Color Purple (Out of Africa)
– Platoon unchanged
– Broadcast News (The Last Emperor)
– Rain Man unchanged
– Fields of Dreams (Driving Miss Daisy)
– Goodfellas (Dances With Wolves)
– Silence of the Lambs unchanged
– Unforgiven/A Few Good Men (Unforgiven)
– The Fugitive/The Piano (Schindler’s List)
– Pulp Fiction/Shawshank Redemption (Forrest Gump)
– Sense and Sensibility (Braveheart)
– Fargo (The English Patient – boring)
– LA Confidential (Titanic – overrated)
– Shakespeare in Love unchanged
– American Beauty unchanged
– Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon (Gladiator)
– In the Bedroom (A Beautiful Mind)
– The Pianist (Chicago)
– House of Sand and Fog – CRIMINAL (LOTR:ROTK)
– Million Dollar Baby – hated the title- unchanged
